Assistant Professor- Applied Psychology

The Applied Psychology program at SUNY Cobleskill is seeking a candidate who is strongly committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Psychology. The successful candidate will be skilled at teaching a variety of courses in-person and online at all levels of a Bachelor's program in Applied Psychology. Experience related to counseling psychology or a related field addressing mental health from an ecological perspective is preferred. Courses taught will include, but may not be limited to:
general psychology, lifespan psychology, psychology of trauma and resilience, abnormal psychology, multicultural psychology, cross-disciplinary topics, as well as other courses developed to meet program needs Other duties for this position include academic / professional student advisement, cooperation in the enrichment and growth of the program, involved in program, School, and Collee service, development of micro-credentials and certificates, cross-disciplinary collaboration, professional development, and supervision of interns.

Salary Range:
From $50000 to $55000 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Minimum Qualifications PhD or ABD (with completion by 8/31/2021). Demonstrated excellence of teaching psychology at the undergraduate level. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the aforementioned minimum qualifications, it is preferred the candidate also have:
Experience with counseling or a closely related field with an ecological approach, especially with vulnerable populations. Student focused experience outside of classroom (e.g., research, advisement, internship supervision/site development). Experience with inter-disciplinary collaboration.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
