4 Cobleskill, NY Cobleskill, NY Full-time Full-time $18 - $22 an hour $18 - $22 an hour Duties - Conduct surveillance to detect and apprehend individuals involved in theft or other criminal activities - Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to identify suspicious behavior or potential security threats - Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report and provide evidence for criminal investigations - Write detailed reports documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken - Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and shrinkage - Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures - Conduct internal investigations related to employee misconduct or policy violations - Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns or inquiries related to security Experience - Previous experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or a related field is preferred - Knowledge of conflict management techniques and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally - Familiarity with surveillance equipment and techniques - Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interacting with law enforcement agencies - Understanding of laws and regulations related to asset protection, loss prevention, and criminal investigation Please note that a certificate in asset protection, loss prevention, or a related field is highly desirable.
