Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals in the kennel - Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs - Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas - Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff - Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor - Maintain accurate records of animal care and activities - Sterilize/maintain surgical instruments/pack - Facility cleaning and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required - Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately - Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team - Physical stamina for heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time - Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed Join our team as a Kennel Assistant and make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
